Seniors Serving Seniors

Amazing grace descends on the Friday Food Rescue program of FSCBC. Since 4 weeks ago, our amazing partners have entrusted us with an increased supply of donations.

From a weekly average of 25 food boxes, we are now able to distribute 50 boxes serving 50 families.

And this adds to the 60 boxes distributed on Sundays.

Member volunteers give their time to drive, use their own vehicles, to pick up donations from designated stores. Some even offer to deliver to recipients who are unable to come to the distribution center at Migrante House.

Volunteer re-packers sort the goods, making sure that items are good to go to the food boxes. They carefully ensure equal distribution of goods into food boxes. And recipient/beneficiaries wait to be called to get their box.

Take a moment to notice the person in the background, sitting on a wheel chair, waiting to get the share of food box.
